BIOGRAPHY
I would describe my work as simplistic. I mean to keep concepts and ideas as simple as possible so that there is enough room for the viewer to interpret the work themselves. What I see a lot these days is that artists elaborate concepts to such an extent that you can only see what the artist himself has thought up.
For me, a concept is good if you can write it out in two sentences; if you can't, you have to start thinking again. It is the simplicity that can be found in a concept so that it can be understood by the public. In this way, I try to ask a question with my work and the answer is there for the spectator to find. I see it as my job as an artist to ask uncomfortable questions that make people think and excite them.
